Matrix of the Mass Economy

 

Human society has a long economical history and it is unknown when man has started his financial journey with the coins, is a myth now. But now-a-days we are strongly habituated with the pros and cons of the coins or printed money on papers! This article is not about the history of coin revolution but it is about the greater financial unity of the mass people.

Man is a social being and from the ancient period of time he belongs in groups. These groups worked and still worked together for their economic development. The formation of groups has been taken place in many ways; from the family to a community, from the co-operative society to a large independent state and the objectives of all such unity is to make the well being of greater mankind by financially or by other means.

There are so many complex financial institutions in present time to serve the financial needs of the individuals or citizens of a state. The state itself is a grand financial institution where entire population of a state is contributing their certain portion of income and this accumulated finance or capital is used by the state through it’s so many organs to serve its people. So state is a good example of great financial unity of its entire population.

 

It is known to all that the state is collecting it’s working capital from the numerous taxes,vats,service charges, fees etc applied on it’s entire population and by using that great figure, all the development works like rail,roads,health and educational or administrative institutions etc are carried out for the well being of the people. So we have to contribute for our state, for our well being. But still yet any state of the world could not serve their people with the complete basic needs of food education, health and housing. Still these needs are far away from us and became the void slogan of the political parties.

 

Now we need change, we need revolution. We have to think or chalk out the barriers or the problems to solve those basic needs of the peoples. What are the causes that keep us far away to address those needs? Probably we know some of them like insufficient accumulated capital to address the basic needs, the problems in resource distribution, the very problem of corruption, the biasness, injustice, capitalism etc the eventual outcome of democracy and so many hidden causes keeping us away from the goal. We have to wipe out those causes and must have to invent new financial tools to increase the state’s working capital.

In this regard, I like to suggest a new concept to increase the state capital as well as to serve the entire population with their contribution.

 

It is about to creating a central savings unit for the every individual of the state to support their basic needs, in brief BNS (Basic needs support) accounts and the savings will come from the contributions of  the entire income generating population(the contribution will be comprises of existing vat & service charges or fees, income tax etc applied on the people), as well as from the contributions of very long-term loan from world bank or other international & national financial institutes, donation and help from other countries, social incentives1 from numerous international & national business companies. The accumulated capital will be used then to solve the basic needs of the population.

 

The BNS account will have three major part, the first or BNS-1 is for secure state housing  near workplace 2 (certain  percentages of total BNS accounts), the second or BNS-2 is for all the rest basic needs ( certain percentages of total BNS accounts ) like food,health,education including secure travel and security in micro region or small area like ward,union,sub-district,district etc. while the rest or third or BNS-3 is for overall national infrastructure including inter district rail,roads,secure vehicles, mega  projects of food,health,education,administration etc.(it is also certain percentages of total BNS accounts ) .

 

So that every individual would have a central savings for his/her state housing and contribution for other basic needs. Every income generating individual will be then a house owner in near future and will be the beneficiary for all other basic need services provided by the state but the state should have to confirm this housing for every income generating people or all other basic needs services for certain population of any region of its own. When a man know that he could be the owner of a house in near future, or a population of any small city will be confirmed to get all other basic needs in their area in specified time period, hopefully every income generating individual will be more interested to give all the taxes, vats, service charges, fees etc to generate their own BNS accounts. But state should have a grand planning and commitment to give the houses and the basic needs in specified time to specific income-generating individual who has contributed for his BNS accounts for housing and to the specific population of certain area those who have contributed for their BNS accounts for all other basic needs. Thus the state’s working capital will be more interactive and could be increased.

 

In numerical figure if,

Any income generating individual have an income = i currency unit

and his total contribution for BNS account (which is assumed as 20% of the income and is contributed as the taxes, vats etc) = .2i per year

 

And other contribution or help for BNS account (like very long-term loan from World Bank or other international & national financial institutes, donation and help from other countries, social incentives from numerous international & national business companies.)  = n per year

 

Then total BNS account for that individual is= (.2i+n/p) per year = I per year, where I= .2i+n/p and “p” is the population of the state.

 

Now if housing require 60% and all other basic needs require 20% and the overall national infrastructure needs rest 20% per year of total BNS account, we have, for every income-generating individual-

 

Housing account or BNS-1= .6I per year

 

All other basic needs account for micro region or BNS-2= .2I per year and

 

Overall national infrastructure account

For entire state or BNS-3= .2I per year.

 

So per year total nos. of housing = .6I x k/v

 

where “k” is the nos. of family as well as total nos. of income generating people  in the state(it is assumed that every income generating individual has a family) and “v” is the value of an apartment including unremarkable & indivisible land.

 

Now if a state comprises of 3, 00, 00,000 family and total BNS account I =     1, 20,000 currency unit per year and v=30, 00,000 currency unit,

 

Then, per year total housing = .6I x k/v = 9, 60,000 housing units.3

 

Therefore, to house 3, 00, 00,000 unit of families, we need only 31.25 yrs!

 

 

If any state could house their entire population near their workplace, could manage the other basic needs to a certain extent, the other issues like poverty, competition or war for resources, traffic jam for big or medium sized cities etc will be resolved to a notable state. 1. Social incentives-these incentives for the BNS account will be from the numerous national and international business organizations who are making profit by selling their products to the mass people of a country for every individual (including themselves) of the state .This incentive could be a certain percentage of the profit margin for every        product or services. They can use this concept to market their product more by offering different levels of incentives        on every product or services. More incentives for BNS account for any individual or buyer will attract more people to buy their products more because the buyer will know that, products with             more incentives will increase his BNS accounts which in turn will ensure his state house and other state basic services for other basic needs.

 

2. Secure state housing near workplace: Every income generating individual of the state is eligible for this state housing served by the state through the contributions of his own as well as major contributions from other sources cited above. This state housing will be distributed by the state on equity or rank basis i.e. hierarchical income level will determine the size and services of the housing. These state housing should be secure in many aspects and must be transferable among the individuals to ensure the housing near workplace. But every individual must stay in an area for his work at least for five years. After this time he could change his area of workplace as well as the state house near his workplace though he is not bound to strict in certain workplace. He may change his workplace in interim period but could not avail the state housing before 5 years.

 

3. Per year total housing: The equation behind it is .6I x k/v, where I= total BNS account for every individual = .2i+n/p, where again i= per year income of every income generating individual, n= other contribution or help or incentives from various different sources and p= the entire state population. It is seen above that we can house 3, 00, 00,000 nos. family in approximately 30 years with certain assumed values. If we can increase the nos. of per year total housing, we can reduce the completion period and this could be done by increasing the several elements of the equations cited above. At first we will try to increase the value of i by taking so many initiatives for development or GDP of the country or if a family has two or three nos. of income generating individual still not carrying their own family and residing in a bonded-family, the value of i can be increased to 1.5 to 2.5 times. Secondly we have to increase the value of n i.e., the other contributions or help or incentives from various different sources as cited above. Thirdly we have to reduce our population size i.e., the value of “p”to a moderate level so that the pressure of increasing demand of housing could be reduced in the interim time period of completion of the housing projects. Fourthly the security measure and the structural strength of the housing can serve at least 3 generation, so that it could help us in reducing the pressure of housing demands.
