Basic Printer Information
A printer is basically an electronic device which allows you to produce a copy of a graphics design, text, documents, as well as pictures which were previously stored in an electronic form into a physical medium such as paper or plastic made materials. This makes the printer basically very adaptable and compatible to most of the operating systems available out there. In many office or even home networks, network printers are utilized; this is done to eliminate the need for multiple printers which are in fact quite expensive and unnecessary. With the use of Bluetooth devices, Ethernet connection, Local Area Network and even the internet, a multitude of computers can access a single printer and even use it remotely.
Newer printer models can even provide access to portable devices such as memory cards as well as flash drives and even from a digital camera. Usually, picture bridges are utilized by these printers so that they can provide printing options for the pictures that are found direct from the camera. In the latest colour laser printer models, a monitor can even be found attached to it. From this monitor you can manipulate the pictures and control the printer and even use it for printing even without the help of a personal computer.
