Why is my HP computer not able to ’see’ my Nokia phone?

I have a HP PC with Microsoft Windows XP and a Nokia 6630 handset with Bluetooth. The bluetooth has been switched on and is in visible mode(not hide mode). Nokia PC Suite software has been loaded into the computer. But the PC is not able to ’see’ the mobile. What is it that I must do so that the PC and the mobile can interact? Should I switch off the DSL broadband connection (available through landline phone) when I try to connect the Nokia mobile to my PC?
For bluetooth use, is it enough if Nokia PC Suite is loaded into the PC , or should some hardware like bluetooth adpater is required for the PC?

Your pc must have a bluetooth adapter to recognize any bluetooth device.
