IAWIC: A New Non-profit Organization For Female Correctional Officers and the
Spouses of Correctional Officers
The International Association of Women in Corrections (IAWIC) is a new nonprofit organization for female correctional officers and the spouses of correctional officers. IAWIC's mission is to improve safety and working conditions in correctional settings; offer training and seminars to women in corrections; provide information and access to cutting edge equipment, and to provide assistance to the spouses of officers.
The IAWIC is the only organization in the world dedicated solely to providing services to women in corrections.
IAWIC President Tamara Bartel, a correctional officer in Nevada, invites all women in corrections to take advantage of the benefits and services offered by
